To fulfill the need of the people of Chittagong and around, a Sub Center was functioning in a rented house during 1994 with facilities for an out patients department, a hearing test laboratory, ear mould lab. Integrated Pre-school to accommodate 60 impaired children. A Speech Therapy Department was also functioning to serve the speech and voice disorder patients including hearing impaired.

The Sub-Center was transferred to the newly constructed building of SAHIC on a plot of land donated by the Railway Division of Ministry of Communication for the purpose at Pahartoli, Chittagong during 1999 and functioning successfully since then. The Sub-Centre has expanded its activity by offering operative treatment to the ENT patients. There is a modern Operation Theatre equipped with all sophisticated instruments and equipments donated by SAHIC Dhaka. There are 06 General beds and 04 Cabins. SAHIC Dhaka through SAHIC Trust also donated o1 reconditioned Microbus-cum-Ambulance for the Sub-Centre.

SAHIC Dhaka provided salary and allowances of Doctors and Staffs deputed from SAHIC Dhaka since 1994 and will be continued till December 2023.
